Some say that to know your future you must know your past. Marty McFly kind of lived this, The Avengers franchise leaned heavily on such a premise, and we’re pretty sure that this had something to do with Tenet, too — but having just watched it once and only having one 3rd year module in Metaphysics to our name, can’t be too sure. Anyway we digress.

It’s 2021 and we’re back with a bang! In this episode of Uncaged Wisdom, we explore the past with the aim of better understanding the exciting things that the New Year will bring. This week our colleague Lindsey Buxman, Strategic Accounts Executive at Marigold Engage+, speaks to Julian and Kayla about some of the trends she has seen while working closely with clients and prospects in 2020. In particular, we’re looking at which challenges marketing professionals are looking to solve when bringing inviting Marigold Engage+ to be part of the conversation.

This episode can also be seen in two distinct parts. In the first 20 minutes, Lindsey shares with us her long-term approach when it comes to developing relationships with marketers looking to purchase marketing technology; addressing their immediate concerns — typically migrating onto and implementing a particular software — before then exploring other complementary areas where we can assist. We also take a deep dive into looking at which parts of the Customer Engagement Suite have really taken hold over the past 12 months.

Episode Highlights

03:00 – We start by exploring what sort of common challenges marketers and brands brought to us in 2020, challenges they hoped to overcome with the help of Marigold Engage+. With a variety of RFP’s quite often the initial request was often the tip of the iceberg.

8:30 – What are some of the most interesting use cases that we explored with prospective clients, especially those that involved placing the Engagement Data Platform at the center?

Marigold Engage+ Overview

10:30 – When really getting into it with marketers, how does Lindsey approach tackling the challenges they are facing. Combining elements from a variety of our solutions or focusing on the product or products that will help them most technologically?
