2020 kicked off with the introduction of the most impactful privacy law to hit US companies, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We’ve seen massive data disasters in recent headlines, from the catastrophic Equifax breach to the Facebook Cambridge Analytica scandal that took social media by storm, and Americans have been left to stand in the wake with feelings of mistrust and uncertainty of how to protect themselves.
