Cheetah Digital Announces Actions to Address Spread of COVID-19
CHICAGO — March 6, 2020 — We at Cheetah Digital know there is a great deal of concern and attention being given to the recent COVID-19 Coronavirus so we would like to share our current efforts to ensure our continuity of business. First off, we employ a highly distributed workforce of more than 1,300 employees located across 13 countries. Cheetah Digital, in addition to being highly innovative and dedicated to marketers, benefits from a strong culture of remote working which provides a flexible work environment for our employees. All of our corporate applications are cloud-based and highly distributed, ensuring our employees can have a similar experience whether they work in an office, from home, or on a plane. Our distributed workforce and flexible work-from-home policy provides advantages for managing business continuity and implementing our pandemic flu plan.
With regard to our current activities, Cheetah Digital management has been monitoring the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation closely and will implement protocols as recommended by federal and global organizations such as the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the WHO (World Health Organization). Our primary responsibility is the health and safety of our customers, employees, and partners to ensure we can continue to provide critical services during this global event. In support of that effort, we have implemented travel restrictions to high risk countries as well as recommending that all non-essential travel be cancelled or suspended until the situation has improved. In addition, we have recommended that all employees, where possible, work remote and utilize video conferencing services to hold meetings to minimize exposure.
Currently our Japan office is closed with all staff working remote due to an increased risk in that region. We will continue to monitor other locations and implement similar protocols as appropriate. We do not anticipate any impact to our platforms or services at this time.
