Joining us at Signals 19 tomorrow? Great! Here are some last-minute tips and pointers from us so that you can survive the conference, maximize your trip, and take full advantage of Cheetah Digital’s three-day event. Ready? Let’s go!
1. Download the Signals 19 app
Download our app to see updated agendas, maps, and speaker bios. You’re also able to interact with other attendees — and if there are any last-minute changes, you’ll get notified. Make sure to allow notifications to stay up to date. If you’re a registered conference attendee, search for “Signals 19” in the Apple Store or the Google Play store.
2. Bring a few shoe options
And you thought I was going to talk you into comfortable shoes! That’s a given, but it’s also nice to switch things up. Abandon your inner Marie Kondo and give your feet some options. Is there anything worse than having to wear the same pair of uncomfortable shoes on your tired, aching feet?
3. Remember your charger
If seeing your phone’s battery life drop below 10% makes you nervous, you’re in good company. Visit charging stations around the event to power up and keep energized. Bringing a power pack or a portable charger is also a smart idea!
4. Stay hydrated
We know it’s tempting to get that needed boost of energy during a conference from caffeine, but don’t forget that water can also help your mind stay sharp and clear. We’ll help you stay hydrated with a Signals-branded water bottle and places to fill up.
5. Come prepared with layers
Not only can conference rooms be chilly, but Chicago weather is hit or miss this time of year too! We suggest layering your clothing to ensure you’re comfortable. Most years, September in Chicago averages a daily high temperature between 72 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit (22 to 25 degrees Celsius). The minimum temperature usually falls between 52 and 57 °F (11 to 14 °C). And it looks like rain might be in the forecast.
6. Grab your workout gear
We’ve worked with the Marriott Marquis fitness center to provide group fitness classes and instructor-led runs on Thursday and Friday mornings. (You should have received a sign-up invite in your email.) So make sure to bring clothes and shoes you feel comfortable in if you’d like to participate.
7. Leave room in your suitcase
Last, but certainly not least, make sure you have some room in your suitcase! When you check in on Wednesday, you’ll receive some goodies we know you will love.
And a final, but so important, point! It’s hard to get away from the office, we understand. But you made a commitment to be here, so set your out-of-office and make the most of it. Emails and requests can wait, if only for a few days. Make the most of your Signals 19 experience by fully immersing yourself in it.
