1. What makes you a builder and believer?
I joined Cheetah Digital by Marigold because, as an engineer, I love solving problems and building new solutions. With Cheetah Digital by Marigold divesting from Experian in 2017, there has been an extreme amount of opportunity to build out our products from the ground up. I’ve been able to contribute to the company’s transformation, which has been fascinating. Being at a company where I can be a part of change, rather than one where the products are already built out, makes coming to work exciting every day.
2. What are you passionate about beyond Cheetah?
Beyond Cheetah Digital by Marigold , I love to involve myself in the tech community here in Kuala Lumpur. In my free time, I organize Google Cloud Developer Community events and conduct programming workshops. I also enjoy traveling with my wife, trying new foods, and watching electronic sports and movies.
3. How do you interact globally?
Interacting globally is a compelling learning experience. The time zone difference offers the freedom to work independently and the chance to build and create with people across the globe. It also puts a constraint on the time you have to collaborate with your team while they sit in another country, so when we connect live, we follow a dense agenda to make use of every minute and optimize our time. Having the opportunity to operate independently to build new solutions is part of the reason why I joined Cheetah.
4. What gets you up in the morning?
I enjoy working at a place with so many talented people I can learn from. Here at Cheetah Digital by Marigold , our office is filled with innovative and bright individuals. Having a challenging problem that I can help solve, along with a happy working environment, is what gets me up in the morning.
